Corpus Christi procession on Sunday

June 1, 2010
by admin

On Sunday, June 6 we will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi in connection with regular 9 a.m. Mass with a public procession.

Please check the May 30 Sunday Bulletin for other announcements. Please note that there is NOT a Mass on Thursday, June 3. This is a bulletin error. The Corpus Christi procession will take place on Sunday instead.

The purpose of the feast of Corpus Christi is to glorify the Blessed Sacrament.

“At that time Jesus said to the multitude of the Jews: My flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.” – Gospel of Corpus Christi
